Faith Today Live #107 – with Mark T Barclay
The encouraging word from Mark today was for us all, just like David did when he went out to confront Goliath, to have our 5 stones with which to fight our own giants.
The 5 stones are:
- The Name of Jesus
- The Blood of Jesus
- The Word of God
- The Armor of God
- Praying in the Holy Ghost
The encouragement is that after we have collected all our stones we are to put them in our sling and use them effectively to kill off the giant. And as we all know, giants come in many guises – discouragement, despair, depression, illness, lack, fear and many other just like these!
2 Peter 1:3
For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
