Praise God for Jesus! This month Christian’s all around the world celebrate the greatest, on-going miracle that mankind could ever receive – the miracle of a re-created spirit – a NEW-MAN in Christ Jesus!
Romans 6:6 says, “We know that our old (un-renewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.” (AMPC)
The death, burial and resurrection of Jesus was far more than just a physical, natural event. What took place in the spirit that day was not bound by the limitations of time or space. It transported our un-renewed, sinful natures directly to that cross with Jesus, the moment we surrendered to His Lordship. The Bible says we were placed in Him and He absorbed into Himself every part of our sin-stained natures. 1 John 3:5 says, “And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.”
Not only did He remove our vial, sinful selves that were burdened with sin and cursed to eternal death; but He wiped away every memory of our oppression too (Isaiah 26:13-14). This means, the devil, our former master, has absolutely no legal accusation to make against us, we have been washed by the shed blood of Jesus!
Colossians 2:14-15 says, “…having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.”
This is the exact time the greatest miracle and act of redemption took place! As Jesus absorbed our sinful nature into Himself, He exchanged it for His own righteous nature. He placed His own righteousness into us. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that if any man be in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION, the old nature has passed away and EVERYTHING has been made new! Our spirit man was placed in Christ, it’s old nature died with Him, and while we were in Him, He recreated our spirit-man and placed His Own sinless, perfect nature into us.
What is essential for every born-again believer to grasp with full certainty, is that we, our re-born spirit man has never left this position of being in Christ! We remain hidden in Him, sinless and free of any hold of the devil! Hallelujah!!! Let this truth saturate your entire being as you celebrate the miracle that took place at that cross when you died with Christ!
Now, we can live with revelation knowledge of who we are in Jesus! Ephesians 2:6, “And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” (AMPC)
Our identification with the resurrected Christ is the centre truth that has the power to transform and influence every area of our lives – so we can enjoy a reality of overcoming victory!
2 Corinthians 2:14 says, “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.” (AMPC)
We were raised together with Him, and made to be seated with Him, far above and victorious over every principality and power! Because of the finished work of the cross, this is our new identity in Christ Jesus!
Since we are seated with Christ, and all things are placed under His feet, they are placed under ours too. We don’t face the challenges in this life from the perspective of victims. We face every troubling circumstance from a place of victory! Hallelujah! There is nothing too difficult or even impossible for us who are in Christ Jesus!
This month, as you sow your financial seed into His EVERLASTING kingdom, understand the power of that seed! Because of the finished work of the cross, everything about you is supernatural! As you apply your faith to your seed, you tap into the realm of God’s glorious supply! Your seed, given in faith, connects you to heaven’s resources. It ensures you receive a harvest not limited to natural standards, but according to His RICHES in glory! Philippians 4:19, “And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Live your life from the perspective of who you are in Christ Jesus. He paid, with His life, to give you this position with Him.
So step into your life of victory by renewing your mind to who He has made you to be in Him.
